ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Mathias Cocherel.
I am a French Level Designer passionate about crafting immersive player experiences. What drew me to this field is the perfect balance it offers between creativity and technical constraints. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than taking an imaginary concept and turning it into a tangible, navigable environment.
My design philosophy is heavily influenced by the titles that shaped me as a player. I admire the historical immersion of Assassin's Creed 3, the masterful open-world design of Elden Ring, and the competitive precision of Counter-Strike. These games taught me how space dictates gameplay, whether it's for exploration or tactical combat.
When I’m not working on a blockout or tweaking lighting in the engine, I’m usually hitting the gym, riding my motorcycle, or gaming to stay inspired by the industry's latest mechanics.
