ROLE
Developper/Environment Artist
DESCRIPTION
"Project Tchernobyl" is a bodycam horror FPS developed as a second-year academic side project. The game casts players as a Soviet military operative dispatched to a desolate nuclear power plant, the site of covert experiments, with orders to infiltrate the facility and retrieve top-secret classified documents. This immersive experience was produced by a team of five students over a two-month development cycle.

Key Contributions
-
Gameplay Programming: Engineered the complete Character Controller, implementing a dual-item system (pistol & Geiger counter). I also developed a realistic Aim Down Sights (ADS) mechanic driven by procedural weapon sway and recoil algorithms to ground the player's movements.
-
Technical Art (Shaders): Designed and implemented custom Post-Processing Shaders to emulate a photorealistic "Bodycam" and VHS aesthetic. I utilized lens distortion, grain, and chromatic aberration to directly reinforce the immersive and oppressive atmosphere.
-
Level Art & Set Dressing: Transformed an existing Whitebox layout into a polished environment. I handled the complete Set Dressing and Lighting Composition, using visual storytelling techniques to cultivate a sense of mystery and tension within the scene.
